The Readers

This book is so uplifting and beautifully illustrated. Like “Love You Forever” by Robert Munsch it transcends a mere bedtime story. It is a book to be treasured for years. It is a heartwarming story for the child within each of us … from toddlers to grandparents.

This story is touching and beautifully written. The illustrations are beautifully done and very appropriate to the text and meaning of this story. It’s educational, and a teaching story as well.

My two-year-old daughter and I loved reading where’s my Joey! She loved learning about all the new animals and was engaged in the story the whole time. I enjoyed how beautifully illustrated it was as well. I look forward to getting a hard copy version for us to read for years to come.

I just read it and loved it! What a great message Wendy skillfully hid in it! While we get carried away learning about many interesting species so beautifully illustrated and, of course, wondering where could little Joey be, we’re also getting closer to a magnificent truth that we all need to discover. What a beautiful gift to the world this book is! Congratulations!!

“Where’s my Joey” is such a beautiful story, and so nicely illustrated. I can’t wait to read it to my grandchildren! It will be one of those books that we will read time and again, I can already sense that. I love it that it even has a little puzzle that invites the child to study the map of Australia. This is so clever on the part of the author because not only is the story deeply spiritual, playful and heartwarming, but it also has an educational value — a rare feature of children’s books today. This book aims high, and it uplifts the spirit! Its value reaches far beyond simple entertainment for children, and it appeals to all audiences. Its message is deeply relevant and timeless! I can’t wait for the next book by this author/illustrator duo as I know their books will become the new library of children’s classics in our home.
